VINEYARD: in the heart of the “massif d’Uchaux”, north of Orange

GRAPE VARIETIES: Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Cinsault and old Carignan

AGE: 30 years old

TERROIR: well-exposed slopes; sandy surface with clayey sub-soil, which helps to prevent drought stress

PRODUCTION: 35 – 40 hl/ha

VINIFICATION: traditional ; 10 day maceration; 30% aged in oak barrels for 6 months

CONSERVATION: can be enjoyed from just after bottling and for a further three years

TASTING NOTE: very fruity nose; in the mouth it is supple and fleshy with overtones of violets

SERVE WITH: perfect accompaniment to poultry, lamb, charcuterie and hard cheese
